Situated within easy walking distance to the historic seaside village of Port Fairy, Anchorage Holiday Park has something for everyone.
The park offers a large range of recreation and leisure facilities to make your stay a memorable one. With so many things to do both in the park and in the surrounding area, you are going to wish you had longer to stay
Ideal for groups, families, couples and singles looking for that break away, we have a range of accommodation from standard to deluxe and luxury units catering for all budgets.
For the camper we have powered, grassy sites nestled among beautiful trees. The cosy camp kitchen with a slow combustion wood fire and kitchen facilities is an ideal place to share a family meal or for groups to meet.
Our 16 metre indoor heated pool and the newest addition to the park has been a giant jumping pillow which has enticed both young and old alike.
A new first class 18-hole mini-golf course is available with discounts to park guest and a new ½ court tennis court and 3 basketball backboard.
There is also a large recreation room with pool tables, air hockey, table tennis and video games. During the school holidays we run a Kids Club program with art, crafts and games for all to enjoy. After all this fun why not sit back and watch a movie in our Theatrette.
Port Fairy is a unique example of a perfectly preserved 19th century shipping port. The little township has retained its old world character and there is an extraordinarily rich variety of architecture with 50 of its houses being classified by the National Trust. It is well known for its many music festivals: Folk Festival in March, Rhapsody in June and Spring Music Festival in October.
For the art lovers you can start in our reception area where ‘The Bathers’ by Don Stewart are on permanent display as are 3 copper and stone figures by Meg Finnigan. From here walk to Regent St to begin your tour of the numerous galleries in the town.
You can get active by swimming, surfing and fishing, mutton bird viewing on Griffiths Island and by playing golf on the first class links course. There are boat cruises, a day spa and a mobile massage, walking tours with a local tourist guide and specialty shops.
For fine dining you need go no further. Port Fairy boasts many fine restaurants (Portofinos, The Victoria Hotel, Dublin House) as well as delightful cafes (Rebeccas and Gingernuts – vouchers available off peak) and of course there are the popular pubs serving Guiness as well your favourite beer.
Take a short drive to Tower Hill to see the koalas, emus and kangaroos (10min), Warrnambool to see the whales(20 mins) or Portland/Cape Bridgewater to see the seals (50 mins)
